Tree Planting to Celebrate Canada 150 at Swift Current Flag Court


We are pleased to announce that the City of Swift Current is a successful recipient of a Canada 150 grant from Tree Canada. Our tree planting celebration will be one of 150 across the country in 2017 to commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary. Join us on Monday September 18th at 2.30pm for a @TreeCanada community celebration.

Representatives from the City of Swift Current and Tree Canada will be on hand to bring greetings and plant the First Nations symbolic tree to commemorate the event.

“This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada and Tree Canada,” states Parks Manager Andy Toth. “Community members will see a difference in appearance as the Tree Canada grant allowed the City to landscape the area and focus on native plants and shrubbery.”

Célébrer le 150e du Canada au court de drapeau à Swift Current

Arbres Canada célèbre le 150e anniversaire de la Confédération avec 150 plantations d’arbres organisées dans les communautés à travers toutes les provinces et territoires du pays. Ces célébrations #Canada150 dans les communautés sont fièrement organisées par Arbres Canada et la généreuse contribution de CN et du Gouvernement du Canada. C’est une excellente façon de commémorer l’héritage du Canada dans une manière positive, significative et dans la pérennité.

Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer que la ville de Swift Current est bénéficiaire d’une subvention d’Arbres Canada pour 150e du Canada! Rejoinez-nous le lundi 18 septembre à 14h30 pour une célébration communautaire!

Des représentants de la ville de Swift Current et Arbres Canada seront sur place pour les salutations et planter l’arbre symbolique.
