Viewing the Exhibits
The museum exhibits are all self-guided and include text panels, videos and other interactive stations to enhance the experience of viewing the artifacts on display. Guided tours for groups can be arranged by contacting the museum.
Ample parking is available in the museum parking lot, including designated spaces for bus parking and handicapped parking.
Children at the Museum
Children are always welcome at the Swift Current Museum! Our exhibitions are designed to be interesting and engaging for both children and adults. Popular attractions at the museum for children on permanent display are the 10 metre (35ft) long pre-historic Tylosaur that hangs from the ceiling, and “Ranger” our very own bison. To protect the artifacts, children must be accompanied by an adult while viewing the museum exhibits.
Tourism Swift Current Visitor Centre
The Museum shares its building with the city’s Tourism Visitor Centre. Information on attractions and other events happening around the city can be obtained at the Centre, as well as maps and other travel information.
