The City of Swift Current is moving to a new Online Utility Billing Portal that will change the way utility bills are processed and distributed to you, our customer. To pave the way for the launch of the new portal, most customers, beginning in December 2019 (some customers will receive their first new bill and account number in January 2020), can expect:
NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER: The new software system is going to create new account numbers. Depending on how you pay your utility bill, you may need to update your account information before you make your next payment:
- If you pay your utilities at your financial institution or through online banking: Update your account number before you make your next payment. This will ensure that your payment goes to your correct account.
- If you pay your utility bill in person at City Hall: One of our customer service representatives will assist you in updating your account information.
NEW LOOK: When you receive your utility bill in December 2019 or January 2020, it will look different than the bills you have received from us in the past. The new-look bills will provide you with more detailed information about your utilities account, including items such as carbon tax charges, defined water rates, defined demand and much more.
SAME GREAT SERVICE: The City of Swift Current is committed to providing you with excellent customer service, and we are available to assist you with this transition and any other questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to contact us by telephone at 306.778.2731 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help you. Our customer service representatives are available Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding holidays.

PHASE 3: You will be able to pay your utility bills and view detailed reports of your household utility consumption from the Online Utility Billing Portal. The launch date of Phase 3 is to be determined.
THE END RESULT: A fast, easy, environmentally-friendly way for you to view and pay your utility bills without the need to leave the comfort of your smartphone, tablet or PC.
