June 14, 2023

The new Tennis Association of Swift Current and the City of Swift Current have partnered together to host four (4) tennis clinics this summer, at the north Riverside Tennis Courts, providing a great opportunity for community members to learn and improve their tennis skills, free of charge.

The clinics take place on July 11th, 13th, 18th, and 20th, 2023.

Participants will be separated into age groups, with staggered start times as follows:

Children ages 6-9 years:                6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Youth ages 10-14 years:                5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Ages 15 & up/Adults:                      7:45 pm – 9:00 pm

“It is so exciting to have our own Tennis Association here in Swift Current,” says In Motion Community Facilitator, Val Choo-Foo. “We are also very fortunate to have our own trained and certified tennis instructor, Rob Espiritu, to lead these tennis clinics this summer. We hope to see the great sport of tennis grow and expand in our community!”

Online registration opens on June 19th at 8:00 AM. Participants are asked to pre-register via this link: Tennis Clinics by July 5. For any questions or requests for assistance with the registration process, participants may contact Community Services at (306) 778-2787. Patrons are not required to attend all four sessions but may do so if they wish. Equipment will be provided, or participants may choose to bring their own. It is suggested that registrants wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. In the event of poor weather, the tennis clinics will be held at the Stockade.

The Community Services Division would like to encourage all skill levels to learn more about the great sport of tennis by attending one of these free tennis clinics this summer.
