Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Every year residents gather together in Market Square as we light the Christmas Tree, kicking off the holiday season! It's an evening of fun for the whole family with special guests appearing for this special ho-ho-holiday tradition. So bundle up, bring along some non-perishable food items to "Fill the Ambulance Food Drive" and come early to find parking and get in line for Santa, and enjoy the countdown for the big moment right at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 21st, when the Christmas lights come on!
Like in years' past, Santa always arrives in bright-red style thanks to his friends at the Swift Current Fire Department! And, thanks to our dedicated community sponsors, there will once again be horse-and-sleigh rides, a firepit to keep you toasty warm, hot chocolate, treat bags from Santa's helpers, and candy canes for a sweet treat, even popcorn if you're feeling snacky! There will be plenty of festive performances, including Ecole Centennial Choir, Western Athletics, and even appearances by the Swift Current Broncos for a holiday-style fan photo op! This event is a tradition you don't want to miss! See you there, down at Market Square!
