Fire Pit Permits
The City of Swift Current allows back yard fires for pleasure purposes provided they are properly controlled. A permit must be taken out and the installation inspected by a fire fighter before a fire pit can used. The cost of a permit is a one time fee of $25.00. The forms can be picked up and the fee paid at the Fire Hall or City Hall. The form is then taken home to be completed with the drawing of the area. Once this is complete, call the fire hall at 306-778-2760 to book an inspection. Once the inspection is complete and the form signed by a fire fighter, the fire pit can be used.
