Taxation

Property taxes are a major revenue source for the City of Swift Current.  To ensure all taxpayers are treated fairly and equitably, the City assesses each property to determine a fair value of land and buildings.  This assessment is then used to determine how much property tax you pay.

The Province has legislated that all Saskatchewan properties will be reassessed on a four year cycle.
