Provincial Disaster Assistance Plan (PDAP)
The Province of Saskatchewan and the Government of Canada provide recovery assistance following a major disaster through the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP). The assistance is for un-insurable losses which are losses for which you cannot purchase insurance. It also provides assistance to municipalities, regional parks, small business, non-profit organisations, etc., for losses suffered as a result of a disaster.
Before applications can be filed, the local municipality must pass a resolution declaring the area eligible for PDAP assistance. Once this resolution is passed, application forms are made available at the municipal office.
