The City of Swift Current is a proud member of the Mission Zero initiative with WorkSafe Saskatchewan.  Because of this, the City’s Occupational Health and Safety/Emergency Measures Coordinator is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace for our greatest assets, our employees.

We believe that the only acceptable level of injuries and incidents is zero.  Because of this, we are unwavering in our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, customers, and community.  We also promote the creation of a WorkSafe Culture, because safety is a shared responsibility.  Employees must be mindful of potential hazards, adhere to safety standards and policies, and participate and support the advancement of safety practices; while we review and improve upon our existing policies, educate our employees, promote safety in the workplace, and lead by example.  We aim to have each employee home and injury free every day.
