 Sanitary Sewer Lines

The Infrastructure & Operations Department is responsible for sanitary sewer line maintenance. 

The sanitary sewer lines are checked for blockages on a rotating schedule.  Should any of these lines have repeated problems, the crew will have camera work done on the line. This camera work will show any type of heavy build up, deterioration, or collapse.  After this is done, the City will arrange for the line to be replaced, repaired, or cleaned. 

Wastewater backup into a home may be caused by tree roots in the line. To help establish who is responsible for the tree causing the problem, the City has established the Roots in the Sewer System Policy. Refer to this policy for any questions about this issue.
