Memorial Park

Memorial Park is located on 1st Avenue NE and Herbert Street in downtown Swift Current.  This park is centrally located in the downtown core, and it is home to many special events throughout the year.

During the winter holiday season, a lights display is set up along the many pathways that run through this park.

The park features the Memorial Cenotaph that was erected in 1927. This historic monument is adorned with wreaths on Remembrance Day in November, and Decoration Day in June, to honour the veterans of World War I, World War II, and the Korean Conflict. The City of Swift Current maintains the beautiful flowers that surround the cenotaph to help subsequent generations to "Never Forget."
