Our 2024 Summer Programs will run from July 3nd to August 15th at a variety of parks throughout the community. In the case of inclement weather, alternative locations or cancellations may be announced. For the latest announcements regarding Summer Programs, please follow Community Services on the City of Swift Current on Facebook page.

Some 2024 Summer Programs require Pre-Registration. Please contact Community Services at communityservices@swiftcurrent.ca or 306-778-2787 for more information. 

And now, without further ado (insert drum roll), here are the details of our 2024 Summer Programs:

FAMILIES IN THE PARK (Children 0-5 and their Families)

  • Monday to Thursday, Starting July 2nd- August 15th 
  • Kin Park
  • 9:30AM – 11:00 AM
  • Ages 0 to 5

PARKS PLAY (Children ages 6-11)

  • Mondays
  • Highland Park
  • 9:00 AM - 11:45 AM & 1:00PM-4:30PM
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Saulteaux & ACT Parks
  • 9:00 AM - 11:45 AM & 1:00 - 4:30 PM
  • Wednesdays & Fridays
  • Riverside & Westside Parks
  • 9:00 AM - 11:45 AM & 1:00 - 4:30 PM

REGISTRATION OPENS ON JUNE 10TH. Registration is not required, as this is a drop-in program, but is recommended.

MULTI-SPORT (Children ages 7-14)

  • Monday to Thursday
  • Various parks each week.
  • Ages 7 to 10 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM
  • Ages 11 to 14 from 9:45– 10:45 AM
  • Space is limited & pre-registration is required. 
  • A different sport will take place each week. Children can register for one week, or all weeks. If they wish to register for all weeks, they will need to be signed up for each week individually. 
  • Schedule of activities:
    1. July 2nd- 4th (Street Hockey, Highland)
    2. July 8th – 11th (Soccer, Riverside)
    3. July 15th – 18th (Rugby/Football, Highland)
    4. July 22nd – 25th (Lacrosse, Highland)
    5. July 29th – August 1st (Highland)
    6. August 6th - 8th (Kickball, Riverdene)
    7. August 12th – 15th (Pickleball, Riverside Pickleball Courts)
  • Online registration opens on June 10th.

THE ZONE (Youth ages 12-14, grades 6-8 in the Fall of 2024)

  • Monday to Thursday 12:00pm-3:00pm
  • Friday Field Trips 11:00am-4:00pm (Separate registration required - available at The Center during the program)
  • Located at The Centre (55 1st Ave NE)
  • Grades 6-8
  • Weekly Registration is required!
  • Registration opens on June 10th.
