Disc Golf Course
NEW to Swift Current in 2021 is the Swift Current Disc Golf Course,
located at Riverside Park!
Object of Disc Golf: To play each hole in the fewest throws possible. The player with the fewest total throws for the course wins!
Rules of Disc Golf:
- First throw must be released from within the designated tee area. Run up/follow through allowed.
- Subsequent throws outside 10m of the target must be released from where the previous throw landed. Run up/follow through allowed.
- Throws (putts) within 10m of the target must be taken with 1 support point where previous throw landed, and all other support points no closer to the basket. No jumping or falling putts.
- Disc must enter the target between basket rim and the top band, and be support by the target to be considered in
Disc Golf Etiquette:
- Share the park with other users
- Furthest player from the parget throws first
- Never stand in the line of sight of a player throwing
- No smoking, alcohol or drugs allowed on the course
- No Littering
Keeping Score:
- Download the Free UDISC App on your mobile device (scan the QR code below to go directly to the app)
- Search for a course and select "Swift Current Disc Golf Course"
- Click "Create Scorecard"
- Select "Main" layout (9 holes) or "18 hole white" (18 holes)
- Add & Confirm players
- Click "Create Scorecard"
- You are now ready to play and keep score! Have fun!
Equipment:
Looking to try out Disc Golf, but don't have the discs? No problem! There are a few sets available to sign out at at either the Library with the use of your library card or at O'Rudy's Creekhouse where a $20.00 cash deposit per kit is required to sign them out. The deposit will be returned to you as soon as the discs are returned.
