SWIFT CURRENT, SK – Swift Current Fire Department crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the industrial area of Chaplin Street West at 12:04 PM on November 12, 2024.
Upon arrival, smoke was noted coming from the roof of one of the buildings’ equipment rooms. Crews contained the initial fire quickly and conducted an extensive search for possible fire extension. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
A total of five (5) vehicles responded to the incident, with nineteen (19) personnel comprised of eleven (11) career and eight (8) auxiliary members. Other agencies responding to the incident were the RCMP, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), SaskEnergy, and City Light & Power.
The cause is currently under investigation.
